primary source

For my paper i have decided to write my paper on the development of Winter Parks landscape and comparing the rich side and the "other side of the tracks" of winter park. I have found my primary source on the Olin Library website. http://db6fj4sr6x.search.serialssolutions.com/?ctx_ver=Z39.88-2004&ctx_enc=info%3Aofi%2Fenc%3AUTF-8&rfr_id=info:sid/summon.serialssolutions.com&rft_val_fmt=info:ofi/fmt:kev:mtx:journal&rft.genre=article&rft.atitle=The+persistence+of+the+planned+landscape%3A+the+case+of+Winter+Park%2C+Florida&rft.jtitle=Planning+Perspectives&rft.au=Bartling%2C+Hugh&rft.date=2007-07-01&rft.issn=0266-5433&rft.volume=22&rft.issue=3&rft.spage=353&rft.epage=373&rft_id=info:doi/10.1080%2F02665430701379084&rft.externalDBID=n%2Fa&rft.externalDocID=10_1080_02665430701379084 i thought this was a good article to use because it talks about the history of the town and how each side of the tracks evolved and why they are like they are today. This article starts out at the beginning of Winter park in the early 1890's.

  1. Remeber, primary sources differ from secondary sources in that primary sources are newspapers, letters, and other media from the period you are studying. Secondary sources are the result of researchers, writers, and academic collecting information and surveying data to provide the reader insight into an event, person, or thing.
