Winter Park Historical society

This week was my first week working at the Winter Park Historical society. The building itself is really interesting and important looking but unfortunately the inside is very plain and seems small compared with the outside. The exhibits were not attention grabbing at all and in truth the only really cool looking part of the museum is the walkway to the bathroom that seems to connect to the train tracks. One of my tasks was to walk down to the cultural museum and pick up some of their brochures. That museum was far more aesthetically pleasing and it completely fit its purpose. It is also across from the community center that had a great mural about the first men to vote in winter park, and in front it had a great metal poodle. The museums were both about the history of Winter Park but one was entrancing and the other was just boring.
