Secondary Source
For my secondary source, I have decided to use details about the construction of Park Avenue from the Winter Park Public Library. The railroad depot was one of the first buildings to be constructed in Winter Park. Following its establishment, Loring Chase and Oliver Chapman moved their focus to the development of Park Avenue. Based on geography alone, the town's founders chose a location for Park Avenue, believing it would make an ideal living and business center. It's completion would only be supplemented by the accessibility of Winter Park through the developing train system. Park Avenue was a focus of Winter Park in the late 1800s, and remains a focus today.
