For one of my secondary sources to acquire research information, I will be using an online article detailing the life and accomplishments of James Gamble Rogers II. Rogers is considered to be the most prolific architect in Winter Park history. Along with his father and uncle, Rogers is responsible for roughly twenty buildings on the Rollins Campus and others on the original Central Florida campus. Rogers also designed numerous houses in Winter Park. His inspirations include informal Spanish, English, and French styles. His two sons entertained jobs in the architectural field, and Rogers passed away in 1990 in his Winter Park home.
This source will provide ample facts for me to write about one of the most famous architectural influences in Winter Park. Rogers was very involved in the mid-twentieth century design in Winter Park. This article can be found on the Winter Park public library website.
