Research on the Temple Grove

This past week I researched the Temple grove through the archives in the library. It is clear that the Temple grove has been a huge influence on Winter Park and the surrounding area. I mainly researched other businesses that were directly influenced by the grove and I stumbled across the Orange Packinghouse. This packinghouse would pack and ship the oranges that the Temple grove produced. I also researched the effect that freezes had on the grove and eventually the economy of Winter Park. Freezes would destroy a crop and therefore the economy would suffer from the loss of revenue. I am looking forward to continuing my research on the Temple Grove and it’s impact on Winter Park.
